Thanksgiving in Fairbanks

I went up to Fairbanks to spend thanksgiving with Tara, we went up to the north pole to see santa and the north pole is a town just above fairbanks, its not really the north pole. Then we went to Chena hot springs. The trip was a blast!! My hair is much longer now but i will be getting a haircut as soon as i come home for x-mas.

New Painting

So i'm practicing drawing real life animals instead of cartoons so i decided to draw and paint Tara's favorite animal an octopus and it turned out pretty darn good. So here it is.

Sleeper Shark Necropsy

I got invited to help out with a shark necropsy, in other words I got to retrieve a shark from a fisherman and gut it open. I dragged Tara along with me. The shark is a sleeper shark and was about 8 ft long. The 2 large whitish/tanish blobs are the 2 livers and the middle is its stomach which we opened and found a chunk of salmon and a couple of squid or octopus beaks.

Ice Cave Hike w/ Tara

These are pictures from the ice caves formed by the Mendenhall Glacier. It receded about 500 ft. this year cause of how warm its been in Juneau. The warmest it has been is 75 degrees.

This is Addie the campus dog who pretty much belongs to me since i'm her best friend.
